ugh that moment when someone you have quite a lot of respect for retweets someone who's just awful and laughable and terf-aligned. :|

Good or bad idea: Install mycroft.ai on my Asterisk box and make it so I can call Mycroft.

Facebook shuts down a tool used to find human rights abuses.

For a company whose main problem is the public finding out about human rights abuses (and genocide) facilitated with its platform, or Russian attacks on American society, or the prevalence and activities of nationalist and neo-Nazi hate groups on Facebook, or any number of things, it’s a brutal tactic from a company that will apparently protect its own interests at any cost.

Food is a vital aspect of our lives. I understand people’s hesistation to change it since it’s literally needed to stay alive. However, companies hijacked that and use it solely for profit and with no regard to how the environment might react to. Most of the farmland’s crops are used to feed animals. If we didn’t abuse the ground in that manner, we could have had enough trees to counteract the effects of global warming.

We cut too many trees down. Just for a Angus burger and some bovine cheese fries.

Oxford.

People keep saying “omg 10 companies control everything” (despite evidence showing they only exist due to consumerism feeding into it) but run away when given DIRECT actions on how to divest from them. I’d love to snuff someone who’s messing with me but that’s not going to fix climate change. Or most things.

Most things.
