Very fun and strange movie about Dickinson\u2019s love affair with her sister-in-law.</p>\n<p>At Red River with Ann and Pat</p>\n<h3><strong>All True \u2606\u2606</strong></h3>\n<p>Kenneth Branaugh plays Will Shakespeare in retirement, returned home after his theater, The Globe, has burned to the ground. Mourning his son who (spoiler alert) killed himself several years earlier under the weight of his father\u2019s expectations, Will can\u2019t see that the real talent among his children is possessed by his son\u2019s twin sister, Judity. Judy Dench is good as Shakespeare\u2019s wife but the movie is slow and not as profound as it wants to be.</p>\n<p>At Red River with Ann, Pat, and Al</p>\n<h3><strong>The Dead Don\u2019t Die \u2606\u2606\u2606</strong></h3>\n<p>Surprisingly fun zombie movie by Jim Jarmusch whose work is pretty hit or miss for me. This one was mostly a hit. Great work from Adam Driver, Bill Murray, and Chloe Sevigney who understand that \u201cthings won\u2019t end well\u201d once the zombies show up.</p>\n<p>At Red River with Ann, Pat, and Al</p>\n<h3><strong>Late Night</strong> \u2606\u2606\u2606\u2606</h3>\n<p>Mindy Kaling made me laugh as Kelly on The Office but I wasn\u2019t a fan of The Mindy Project. I find that she\u2019s kind of amusing sometimes but rarely laugh out loud funny. She wrote this movie and, I guess not surprisingly, I found it to be amusing but rarely laugh out loud funny. It\u2019s also pretty smart and has some great moments, especially for Emma Thompson who plays a 50-something talk show host who seems to be nearing the end of her career. Despite the unrealistic ending, I really enjoyed the movie.</p>\n<p>At the Concord Regal with Ann, Pat, and Al</p>\n<h3><strong>Chernobyl</strong> \u2606\u2606\u2606\u2606\u2606</h3>\n<p>I had been hearing such good things about this HBO mini-series that I did a one week trial of HBO so that I could binge-watch it. I\u2019m so glad that I did. This is simply great television. The last episode in particular was masterful as the events of Chernobyl are explained in a trial of the participants. It\u2019s hard to watch at times but I would definitely recommend that you find a way to do it.</p>\n<p>On HBO at home by myself</p>\n<h3><strong>Godzilla: King of the Monsters</strong> \u2606</h3>\n<p>I actually really love monster movies. I loved watching them on TV on Saturday afternoons when I was a kid and have enjoyed many of them (Pacific Rim comes to mind) as an adult. I didn\u2019t realize this movie was a sequel to the 2014 Godzilla, a true stinker.
