The class provided more sheltered instruction for students, many learning English, who did not meet Kindergarten readiness benchmarks...after Kindergarten.I had them write poems about carnivals, rain, and frogs. The students found words by writing with their senses. Explaining what you ss, hear, feel, and touch can provide a rpadmap for any writer stuck on. getting started.I teach the same lesson in college.
