Wow, for a moment I was wondering why the j and k keys weren't working to scroll Twitter up and down. I've obviously spent too much time in Vim today! LOL 😜
how do y'all be doing those mass twitter unfollowings? I think it's time for me tbh
I mean Jesus seemed to ignore a lot lol
Black Christians who hate Blackness. Lol Jesus hates to see it.
Apparently I am spending my evening in a park in London watching @PhilosophyTube and @ContraPoints and @danielhowell and more read Romeo and Juliet on Olly’s amazing livestream.

It’s wayyyy too hot to stay in my flat and my evening plans were cancelled. Body not up skating. What should I do on a 90 degree day in London?
You've heard of a broken clock being right twice a day, but consider: some broken clocks are never right.
Someone is going to get physically harmed. And people are going to want to apologize THEN or give their thoughts and prayers then. Instead of heeding warnings of shit people BEEN saying. It's low-key 2012 all over again.
wait I thought that was the whole point of tech? to move faster than gov't can regulate? https://t.co/jrnwAPTiFq

Art direction for the web with Andy Clarke. smashingmagazine.com/smashing-tv/ar… is an amazing @smashingmag webinar series that is making me think how to reinvent myself to make more inspired designs. @Malarkey is raising the bar once again.

I really dig this post by Charlie about recent unpleasantness in a supposedly “tech” community that is entirely people-driven. Toxicity, privilege, protectionism, and silencing critics (especially minoritized voices).

All problems are people problems. Even more so when what we build can affect so many lives.

A refrain I keep seeing in abuse callout posts is that their collaborators MUST have known and MUST have enabled them. This isn’t true. People who work, even closely, with others are just as blindsided by learning about these things as the fans are. 1/?
That's how a lot of people choose to move. Which is kind of understandable if insularity is a thing they want or want to optimize only for 'positivity and no bad vibes'. It's just not authentic to how things work and only affordable to a few at the cost of the many.
If it's the latter, then it's implicitly both, but not something I'm in a position to judge (in the context of these two examples).

Anyone have an example of an IRB talking about how data may be used in the aggregate in machine learning models? Need to explain it to parents in a way that does not scare them. #literacies #HigherEd

Ah fuck it. Here's my thoughts on React - why I've found it and what it represents problematic even before recent events. sonniesedge.net/posts/react
