We are talking surviving, not improving. Students didn't sign up for this, don't try to "improve" just design simple learning experiences with clear directions and explicit criteria for success. Be present in class. Thats it. #edtechchat
You may not have the physical cues of presence but you can learn to see signs of the cognitive and social presence of your students during asynch and synch learning.

If only schools just provided students with a website early on and they were used to documenting their learning from their own domain. I am hoping this build up a recognition to teach digital infrastructure #edtechchat
So far all we got were logins to websites that rely on flash and don't really work anymore, packets and online materials will be coming this week we are told. #edtechchat
Speaking of tools, please remember accessibility, post the questions in tweets as well as iamges with texts that can not be accessed by those who use screen readers. #edtechchat
Creativity thrives in constraint. Too much choice leads to anxiety for learners. Plus it taxes teacher as you must now have to support more technical learning. As a district choose a small set of tools, lean on each other, #edtechchat
Just schedule open drop in time for students, let them hang and do work in a loosely structured time, either in live video chat or juts bantering about in Google Classroom. #edtechchat
Ignore the list of tools, focus on care, first and foremost. Parents will lose jobs, schedules in disarray. Compassion right now should be the only tool you use when designing online class learning. #edtechchat
