Whaddaya mean, "we"? :-) It was the Republicans/ conservatives who blocked that every time.
But, point taken. Our country, collectively, has sucked at taking care of those who sacrifice themselves for the common good. But, once upon a time, for a brief shining moment, we did.

Wow, I hadn't fired up @buffereditor in a while, and the UI has really improved! New sidebar icons, line space adjustments, terminal keyboard responsiveness much better… If you're looking for a code editor for iPadOS with full remote SSH support, you really need to try Buffer!

Yeah, that was called “Pulling a McClellan” back in the day. No executive power means they can’t tske control of that conversation.
Governors, on the other hand, can do that by banding together. They can’t make it a PR stunt, either, by inviting someone with no office in.

My 2017 12" MacBook is starting to show its age, but I hate that there is nothing to replace it right now. There's no reason to get a MacBook Air since it's the same form factor as the 13" Pro. But it seems unlikely they're going to release a small computer again at this point.
