Something that upsets me is seeing people, including researchers, say "this online commenter is so racist and awful that they must be a paid troll". I mostly see white people saying this. It is both cute and sad that you think normal Americans are incapable of being that racist.

I really wanted to believe that "54% of Americans say burning down the MPD building was justified" but because I regularly am my own killjoy, I decided to read/think about it a little more. Here's someone summarizing the problems with the poll. 17% is still huge but it's not 54%.
