I suppose I should make some kind of comment on the fact that Trump has effectively declared war on the city in which I live (Portland, OR). Honestly, I am at a loss for words. This truly feels like a dark timeline out of some insane sci-fi series plot. 🌑🔥
Did I literally just hear the White House say, "We should not let science get in the way of school"?

That is literally the exact opposite of what I want students to learn.

I’m wondering when apocalyptic literature will be making a come back as a cultural genre? (boffosocko.com/?p=55773673)
I went to find the original of this breathless bot hype Medium article I screenshotted in April 2016. The result was about what I expected. Personally I think if you are a financial forecaster type your extremely-wrong forecasts should be a matter of record!
For years I shied away from prioritizing high-profile open source contributions—because, as a self-employed freelancer, every minute spent coding "for free" is lost income. I've come to realize how short-sighted that was. Open source is a force multiplier for career advancement.
I won't mention this too often, as there are lots of very important causes in need of your support right now, but if you're in a position to, please consider supporting my work on Patreon: patreon.com/andymcmillan

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT *PLANNING* IS FOR! Devos is an unmitigated disaster. Totally devoid of leadership and common sense. The lack of a competent response from our federal government in pretty much every aspect of handling this crisis is incredibly dispiriting.
