OK, I read through the Mozilla blog post. I didn't understand a darn thing it was saying. Yes, they need money, and apparently they didn't have enough of it. But in terms of how to remedy that, it sounded like corporate-speak gobbledeegook.

I definitely hope this will be the case. The biggest political failing of the Obama era was the lack of accountability to hold that administration to progressive policy reform (remember the drone strikes? domestic spying? etc). Let's not make that mistake again.
