Y’all my job of getting transit data into Google- it matters. When people start to see the alternative travel modes displayed, they start to realize it is an option for them.

I wonder how many people don't take buses because they grew up in the suburbs or if they did take public transit, it was just subways and trains, and they just don't want...
guess which one is the old filter
Climate conversations. Marilyn Raphael, new interim director @uclaioes, talks about how Antarctic sea ice interacts with the global climate system and some personal thoughts about what it’s like being an introvert in science. forecastpod.org/2018/12/20/epi…
Yeah Graphic Organizer are an amazing tool. I will have to post a list of must have in your classrooms. #literacies (quickthoughts.jgregorymcverry.com/s/pfWnZ)

I forgot that Beck’s 2006 album ‘The Information’ came with a big sticker sheet so you could “make your own album cover.” I was afraid of Doing It Wrong so I put one sticker on the front and then gave up.
i will never complain about rain in pdx ever ever again
The data cascade is a pretty nifty feature. I could *never* remember how to use the defaults config syntax in Jekyll. I think this will be a big improvement for most people. #SpinUpBridgetown
Great Scott! It's Friday, and that means it's time to release new code to production! (Erm…) Anyway, here are all the juicy details of Bridgetown 0.17, codenamed “Mo...

It’s Friday! People usually have fun on Fridays. What am I doing?

It’s Friday so here’s my check-in!

  • I consult in software with/via https://black.af (and I’m open to new leads so definitely reach out!). It’s been okay but a bit slow given the state of the world.
  • I got a PinePhone recently and I’m experimenting with different applications to work on for it. Right now, that’s mainly ActivityDesk - think Pidgin for social networks! It’s written in Rust and Qt so if anyone knows of a SSB port of Rust or wants to help me work on it, let me know!
  • I’m currently experimenting with ideas around collecting payments for apps I work on so people can directly support me or foundations. I’ve seen a few things like Paypal links and the likes but I am curious how much further we can push with. With the very real advent of mobile Linux being accessible to people (for $200 USD!), I think more user abstractions should be made.

What’s up with you?
