Hey @RoKhanna when is Silicon Valley going to be as advanced as rural Uruguay wrt fiber to the home? What plans are in motion to make this industry get off its behind and become competitive again? (I hope I just simply haven’t heard of them)
There’s fiber to every small village in the country.

I've now saved more $ than I've earned in an average year. $25,393 to be precise! I do not necessarily recommend my method of working 3 jobs, but I am very grateful to have work this year, especially safe work.
I think we all need to organize an emotional labor union.
My new-to-me Miss Candyfloss raincoat has arrived (and needs a hemming as expected). Now I need an excuse to ride somewhere in the rain!!! Works perfectly with a bike helmet

I really want a magic sky fairy to tell me skating in a rink with precautions (masks, temp checks, social distancing) is safe. Unfortunately there is no public health wish granting magic sky fairy, huh?

My biggest questions as Apple scales its architecture to pro workloads: (1) is a unified memory architecture going to be able to provide RAM capacity required for Mac Pro? (2) Can Apple provide integrated GPU performance that let’s them ditch third-party GPUs? Should they?
Happy 25th, my love. From living together in manhattan, queens, long beach, huntington and traveling to Barcelona, Australia, Israel and Hawaii - we've done a lot together. Here's to another 25! Love you, lady! instagram.com/p/CHgJ6tJnKnX/…
My guess? This first batch of computers with an M1 will be incredibly impressive if compared appropriately to their peer group.
It was dawn of the third age of Ruby… *cue dramatic theme music* Hey everybody, I started a new Ruby blog! New posts every week! An email newsletter! Woo hoo!

That said, I do think that many early detractors are missing that the M1 isn’t really the same thing as a typical Intel chip. Completely different approach, with many more specialized hardware accelerators. The old clock / core comparison won’t work. Gotta benchmark.
Its really interesting to see all of the reactions to Apple’s first chip for its Mac lineup. I don’t think Apple did itself any favors by presenting glossy, vague graphs to tout performance.
