I just got this ad on Nextdoor and I have… questions.
New post: Notes: Why I Still Use RSS beesbuzz.biz/blog/chatter/9… #IndieWeb #RSS #Internet Also don’t forget that most podcast directories are RSS-based.
I look forward to his report on No Exit.

son, I just realized that pull requests can store information in the Git tree themselves (like literally). this needs to be used more (maybe a better interface) to really bring back the decentralization that Git could have had

An actual social network built around protocols and not for a (ad) platform! This is what an ethical social network looks like. Definitely will endorse this project and recommend y’all getting it for iOS! https://twitter.com/rabble/status/1358839553549873152

It’s 2021. If you still giving people like Charlemange, Joe Budden and/or Joe Rogan an audience despite ACTUAL content from other people and willingly continue, you part of the problem. I understand not knowing but there’s a difference.

Once again, Google needs to be dismantled and every company needs to prohibited from abusing people like this. https://twitter.com/jason_kint/status/1358907018975838208

I never really cared for @ProductHunt but their need to only use “social” log-ins effectively locked me out of their system. Now I just want them to delete https://www.producthunt.com/@jackyalcine so I can be done with the capitalist circle jerking on that site.

Some days I just remember that americans were sold the idea that we have the most freedom of choice in our health care system, and I get so angry. Health insurance “networks” give Americans the least choice of any developed country.
Trump—for all his irredeemable failings—understood the power of internet soundbites like few others. It remains to be seen how the Biden admin can pull off similar success. Case in point: I’m witnessing tons of conspiracy nonsense re: Covid vaccines. This is a *real* problem.
After @IfeomaOzoma went public about her experience with racism and sexism at Pinterest, she started working to expand worker protections in California. Now, a newly introduced law could allow employees to speak out about discrimination at work, even if they've signed NDAs:

I see a lot of people criticizing the potential of a subscription Tweetdeck, but we should be praising the exploration. Twitter deriving revenue from something other than ads will decrease the incentive to appease advertisers and increase the incentive to please paying users.
NEW: Here’s a closer look at Twitter’s subscription efforts. The company has multiple internal teams researching ideas, including some related to tipping/exclusive co...

More experimenting with Welsh cakes this morning. I think I’ve settled at baking them on a pizza stone at 450° F for three minutes a side. They come out far nicer and it seems closer to a traditional method. Next up: refining ratios and technique. (boffosocko.com/?p=55786771)
This has been a huge shift for me. Since I built my first commercial website in 1997, I've always thought of myself as "the guy who builds sites for people". Reframing around serving engineering teams directly is a scary, but exciting leap forward. P. S. Need help with Ruby? 😁
Our new website at whitefusion.studio is unlike anything we've ever done. Historically we've largely marketed to non-technical clients outside of the tech industry. But ...
