I did something weird for a project I’m working on the side - I wrote the clients I needed for external services by hand. It forced me to really assess what I needed from them (like only one endpoint) and it made me realize that SDKs might be easy to use but sometimes unnecessary - especially for like ~30 lines of code.
I also get free reporting now if they change things without too much warning without having to upgrade or change anything, lol

1) if your sales don't exceed $35,000 you don't need to collect or pay VAT 2) except sometimes you do 3) this is all changing July 1, 2021 4) this is not tax advice, go talk to your local tax specialist
