I swear to god auto-import in VScode tells you all you need to know about "smart" technology: it's ‘magic’ when it works, until it breaks, and it breaks in awful, terrible, annoying ways.
(also, “autocorrect says hi” 👀)

It’s amazing to me how many frameworks JS developers will write simply to avoid using Ruby.
I mean, OK. I too wrote a PHP framework once before I learned Ruby because I wanted to do cool stuff like Rails. Then I realized it was only cool BECAUSE of Ruby.
No Ruby? No bueno.

Ok #zettelkasten fans. Unless someone can come up with an earlier source, the inventor of the zettelkasten method for excerpting and note taking is Konrad Gessner in 1548.
(Again it’s *NOT* Niklas Luhmann!)
More details on this fun bit of history soon.

This was... a pretty hard decision to make. But a necessary one. We, collectively, have underestimated the amount of work it will be to make the APAC Edition really awesome -- while overestimating how much we can get done *gestures* in all this.
Apologies for the radio silence, the team had to make a hard decision today: We have decided to cancel the RustFest Global APAC Edition event this season.

Apple's hourly workforce says the company has largely ignored their pleas for better working conditions & pay.
Recently, a retail employee died by suicide. In a note to HR before his death, he wrote that he'd been a victim of intimidation & bullying:

I noticed that @bandcamp’s download stuff got really slow right around when @radiohead did their most recent release. It’d be interesting to see stats on what percentage of Bandcamp download traffic is just Radiohead.
(also bandcamp please scale your servers up)
