This wasn't throwaway. For instance, one dream I often see repeated is that crypto will lead to a better more equitable future. But the underlying tech gives us a rabid and unregulated form of hyper-capitalism. If anything, we should expect to see highly *inequitable* outcomes.
Web3 is hopes and dreams coupled with technology and grift that support neither.
