I’ve made this exact point in the past and had people vehemently disagree with me and tell me I’m making up nonsense…even though Rails’ own readme clearly states: “Although most Rails models are backed by a database, models can also be ordinary Ruby classes” 😅
Rails models don’t always need to map to database tables. Using models to map the business domain should be common practice. This can help identify some of the REST res...
