College rewarded me for using big words. Then I graduated and realized that intelligent readers outside the classroom don\u2019t want big words. They want complex ideas made simple. \u00a0If you don\u2019t believe it from a journalist, believe it from an academic: \u201cWhen people feel insecure about their social standing in a group, they are more likely to use jargon in an attempt to be admired and respected,\u201d the Columbia University psychologist Adam Galinsky told me.                 "text": "That's a shame, since modern iPhones \ud83d\udcf1and M1/M2 Macs \ud83d\udcbb are actually extremely capable gaming devices! Moreover, there are a ton of great games on Apple Arcade\ud83d\udd79\ufe0fand the company is taking gaming seriously again, after years of neglecting Game Center."
