This one did a much more thorough diagnosis than the first one and he determined that there is definitely a leak between the valve and the tub spout, and pointed out some definite problems left by the contractors. This was a pretty thorough amount of work that took a few hours and cost a chunk of money, but that\u2019ll make the estimation from the remaining plumber (who will be coming on Thursday) a lot more straightforward.Today\u2019s plumber estimates that the necessary plumbing work will be around $3000, plus however much it costs to redo the tiling. He said there\u2019s tilers that his company works with which might work well although scheduling is difficult at present. And they\u2019d be able to limit the amount of tiling work that needs to be redone, at least.Anyway on Thursday I should have the final estimate for the plumbing stuff and then I can try working with the bathroom contractor in terms of who\u2019s paying for all this. Or maybe he\u2019d be able to prove the quality of his new crew by doing it for free but I\u2019d have no reason to trust him to do a good job at this point.Ugh.",

Because some of that work was ultimately for my website, I wanted to have a way to transfer the work easily to my site. With IndieWebCamp San Diego and a mention of typecasting a few months back, I had a small brainstorm. I figured that could easily leverage some of the workflow I had designed in December 2021 for handwriting posts to do the same thing with my typewriter. As it turns out, I didn't need to do much work. My flow using micropub in combination with Google Doc's optical character recognition was just just the ticket. Now I can type up almost anything, take a photo which I open up in Google Docs. Docs does the OCR work, I save the document, and IFTTT.com picks up the new document in my folder. IFTTT then sends aa copy of the post to my site using Micropub as a private post. If necessary, I can tweak it a bit and add tags, categories, etc. When I'm done, I can publish it directly or schedule it to a future date. Naturally with other infrastructure, I can automatically syndicate the post to other social media sites using POSSE as well. I remember people back in the day doing typecasting in the early blogosphere. I'm hoping my new IndieWeb method will make doing this for myself a little bit easier.         "text": "There is a fucking leak in the wall behind my bathtubIt is probably yet another fucking hurrah from the shitty goddamn bathroom remodeler folksIt is going to be fucking expensive to fixMaybe the plumbers will be able to get at the pipes from the side but I\u2019m not optimistic about thatThis leak has probably been there for a while but it\u2019s taken this long to be apparent, because it was slowly eroding away the drywall next to the tub and causing the baseboards to swell upI suspect I\u2019m going to need to sue the contractor for gross negligenceAt least I still have plenty of tile left over from the renovation, in case the worst comes to pass and I need to get that wall redoneanyway this guy fucking sucks",

They have a nice fenced in courtyard of good size with several table sizes, shade, power, etc. and is centrally located in San Diego, CA with easy access to transportation and other amenities.This looks like a great weekend coming up. Can\u2019t wait to see everyone in person.",
