I finally got ready to settle in for the evening, and my brother sent me this link of Chris Hayes talking about the Trump-Vance-Zelenskyy blowup/meltdown, so I watched it.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Mr. Hayes, my good sir, it is not hyperbole in the least.</strong> And it\u2019s hard for me to put into words how I\u2019m even able to process what I witnessed.</p>\n\n<p>I couldn\u2019t even watch it in one go. I had to pause several times to allow my brain to reconstitute its proper mental state in order to keep watching the scene, because <em>I was having meltdowns</em> just trying to get through the recording.</p>\n\n<p>It\u2019s inadequate to say I was shocked, horrified, aghast, and completely grossed out by this sorry, sorry display. Perhaps the most relevant emotion I could put a name to is\u2026<em>grief?</em></p>\n\n<p>Seeing President Volodymyr Zelenskyy\u2014a man who has sacrificed so much and endured so much suffering on behalf of his people\u2014get \u201cdressed down\u201d by a raving madman lunatic and his pissy poor-excuse-for-a-man sidekick VP who between them both wouldn\u2019t know true sacrifice, honor, or courage if it came up and bit them on their putrid asses\u2026<strong>all I can do is weep.</strong></p>\n\n<p><em>I weep for the people of Ukraine.</em></p>\n\n<p>And I weep for us, the people of the United States of American who must endure the dismantling of everything we\u2019ve ever known to be good and true.</p>\n\n<p>Like Chris Hays said, American certainly has plenty of sins to answer for with a number of foreign policy blunders over the past 80 years of geo <a href=\"https://jaredwhite.com/tag/politics\">#politics</a>. Our hands are far from clean. Yet there was never a wavering of at least <em>the public defense</em> of the principles of fighting for democracy, freedom, and the rule of law.</p>\n\n<p>Trump, that Asshat-in-Chief\u2014who was voted into office based on a steaming pile of horseshit masquerading as factual content\u2014has completely destroyed what little respect we might have had left. <strong>It\u2019s gone. It\u2019s all gone.</strong></p>\n\n<p>Every world democracy must now consider the U.S. a threat. <em>We are not safe.</em> And my people are not safe from our own government.</p>\n\n<p><strong>This are dark, dark days\u2026darker than any I\u2019ve ever seen in my forty-some-odd years of life.</strong> I really cannot say where it all goes from here. I\u2026just\u2026don\u2019t\u2026know.</p>",

"text": "So, I was on meclizine for a couple days, and it is definitely not the right med for me.\n\nBasically, it made me super tired and pretty much constantly sleepy or on the edge of falling asleep (like, to the extent that I was experiencing hypnagogia), and it wasn\u2019t helping my vertigo at all.\n\nWhat\u2019s more, for vertigo it\u2019s meant to be used as a rescue med and not a maintenance med, getting tolerant to it can cause some major problems, and it has a bad interaction with my rescue inhaler. I\u2019m not even sure how it would be useful as a rescue med given that my vertigo attacks usually last 10-15 seconds and are brought on at random, and it takes about an hour to kick in.\n\nRight now my best hope seems to be the vestibular rehabilitation physical therapy I\u2019ve been prescribed. My intake appointment for that is in about two weeks. I also have a neurologist appointment next week, which will hopefully provide some amount of clarity.",
