He\u2019s just great at this stuff, and honestly that was the first clue I got back in October/early November 2024 that something was off about the Harris campaign. Don Lemon\u2019s interviews picked up on a thread of the zeitgeist I wasn\u2019t seeing anywhere else.</p>\n\n<p>Lately he\u2019s been out asking lots of folks what they think about Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and the responses have been fascinating. It\u2019s incredibly apparent that they are tapping into a wing of the Democratic Party base which has been <em>supremely frustrated</em> over the past couple of years. We desperately need an energetic, youth-focused, <strong>center-left populist movement</strong> in American <a href=\"https://jaredwhite.com/tag/politics\">#politics</a> and the Dems would be wise to stop taking this demographic for granted. It\u2019s the kind of mojo the party needs in full force right now.</p>",

But it seems the concept of Downey as bad guy Victor Von Doom goes way back to before the actor was ever cast as Iron Man\u2019s alter ego.</p>\n\n</blockquote>\n\n<p>There are a whole lot of chattering commenters out there all butthurt that Downey is coming back to the MCU. It cheapens Iron Man\u2019s death, it\u2019s just to sell more tickets, Marvel\u2019s out of ideas, the Russo Brothers can\u2019t make a good non-Marvel film what\u2019s up with that, <em>blah blah blah blah blah blah blah</em>.</p>\n\n<p>Get outta here! <strong>Robert Downey Jr. can do no wrong.</strong> I am completely onboard with his reappearance as one of Marvel\u2019s classic villains. We already know he can deliver a pitch-perfect performance which straddles the fence between hamming it up for the camera and <em>absolutely nailing</em> complex emotional depth. People will throw out this name and that name for who <em>should</em> be playing Victor Von Doom, but you know what?
