Great news! my candle dealer bugs rock is back with a new line for spoopy season! Order now and get these monstrous creations:
- bad apple (plus baby sample powerful enough to spoil somebody’s bunch)
- a sweet hex (feel like Pandora (not the streaming service) as you open the lid! then instead of hope you are left with a sweet candle to burn)
- mischief nite (this moon cannot be obscured, knows what you did)
- evil side up (I guess Sam I Am wanted the ham)
Plus some bugs rock matches and stickers and maybe some little plastic scaries and a temporary tattoo!
As a bonus you can guess which of these made me sneeze a bunch when I opened the box! (I’m fine, my allergies and I have come to an agreement. Thanks for asking!)

I decided today would be a good day to hang the vertical monitor that will eventually be the home automation dashboard. I found a monitor that fills the available space. Next I need to get an HDMI over ethernet extender so I don't have to put a raspberry pi on the wall.

From an interview with a costumed Portland protester. Portland rules and this is spot on:
“There’s been a nice overall whimsy that has shown up. The frog is amazing. We had a bunch of other inflatable people here last night, too. I saw people playing Twister the other day.
What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that we’re actually not that afraid.
It also dismantles their narrative a little bit. When they try to describe this situation as “war-torn,” it becomes much harder to take them seriously when they have to post a video saying [U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security] Kristi Noem is up on the balcony staring over the Antifa Army and it’s, like, eight journalists and five protesters and one of them is in a chicken suit.”

Worked on a bunch of house projects today!
- Finished tidying up the low voltage panels for Units A and B
- Fixed the electronic door latch for Unit A
- Installed a new camera facing the street to watch for delivery vehicles and such
- Terminated the network jack at the hot tub
- Prepped a bunch of the hot tub wiring and started draining it
