But it feels like the solution to this is not just making Wordpress plugins better. \n\nI think it is something that has: easy one-click install approach (better if no install needed but I think that\u2019s still a ways off), a straight forward configuration/settings screen. \n\nI think that means IF this solution is based in Wordpress, it probably means creating a simplified Admin Theme with the traditional Wordpress Admin Theme as an optional switch in \u201cadvanced settings\u201d. \n\nI wonder to some extent if Drupal is a good solution, however I don\u2019t know about the one-click installation possibilities of that. I almost think either Known being further refined or an \u201coriginal IndieWeb focused CMS\u201d. However the IndieWeb is so big there are many diverse opinions as to what something like that would be like. \n\nI lean towards those later two options: Refining Known or developing a new simple IndieWeb principled CMS, incorporating things like flat file storage and/or SQLite.         "html": "<p>Between our trip to Kentucky and starting a new position (and other things) I haven\u2019t had any blogging time. It was good to have a bit of a break I think. Here are some things I saw recently.</p>\n<ul><li><a href=\"https://www.brainpickings.org/2018/03/14/stephen-hawking-origins-interview/\">Brain Pickings on Hawking</a> \u2013 Of course, Brain Pickings is so so good. Interesting thought about Hawking; though he was one of our weakest, he helped us understand some of the most powerful things in the universe.</li>\n<li><a href=\"https://blog.xamarin.com/xamarin-joins-docs-microsoft-com/\">Xamarin now on MSFT Docs</a> \u2013 The Xamarin documentation has a new home. This is good. But, I can say that working with Xamarin a bit over the last year the entire platform is so much better than the documentation. It needs a lot of help.</li>\n<li><a href=\"https://kottke.org/18/03/twenty\">Kottke.org turns 20</a> \u2013 Amazing achievement. Well done Jason.</li>\n<li><a href=\"https://www.thisiscolossal.com/2018/03/light-paths-of-drones-by-reuben-wu/\">Light paths of drones</a> \u2013 So cool. I would love to try something like this over the summer.</li>\n<li><a href=\"https://aaronparecki.com/2018/03/12/17/building-an-indieweb-reader\">Parecki\u2019s IndieWeb Reader</a> \u2013 Fun project. I need to look into it more.</li>\n<li><a href=\"https://www.universetoday.com/138791/7-scott-kellys-genes-changed-year-space/\">Space changed Scott Kelly\u2019s genes</a> \u2013 I don\u2019t fully understand everything about this, but any change at all seems amazing to me. Much more research is needed and I have the feeling we\u2019re going to get it over the next 5 decades of space travel and life.</li>\n<li><a href=\"https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLal92cwX3CEBTq2T5E-zjg\">Kalen Allen</a> \u2013 I wish he did a video every day.</li>\n<li><a href=\"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSHsIOIhjJY\">Minimalist wardrobe</a> \u2013 Matt D\u2019Avella is back with another great YouTube video. As a result of watching this video I through out an entire garbage bag of clothes. Thanks Matt.</li>\n</ul><p>That\u2019s it for this week. I hope to return to a somewhat regular publishing routine soon but until then I hope you\u2019re all ready for spring!</p>",

This wouldn\u2019t be need for me (or anyone else) if micro.blog sent a webmention with a target of the user\u2019s profile url. \n\nThe microformats might have to be tweaked a little to get it to work. \n\nThe scenario is this: \nAaron Parecki writes a post that @mentions my micro.blog username, creating a micro.blog mention. \n  Micro.blog sees that and adds the post to my mentions feed \n  Micro.blog checks the URL I have associated with my micro.blog profile (https://eddiehinkle.com).
