An Invitation to IndieWeb Summit

IndieWeb discussion

@noahread @madebydusk @manton2 @m_ott @CraftCMS
It depends on what data you want back into Craft. Most just want the replies/comments. Micro.blog does this via webmentions, thus the reason for having the webmention plugin set up to collect those replies.
@sfaze If you're free, I hope you might join us either in person or remotely via live stream in Portland on June 26-27 for the IndieWebSummit. https://2018.indieweb.org/

Currently micro.blog hosted blogs only accept webmentions from other micro.blog users (because any webmentions to a micro.blog hosted site automatically become replies in the micro.blog timeline)

@madebydusk @CraftCMS I think @m_ott has experience (and a plugin) with the webmention portion: https://indieweb.org/Craft
The micro.blog portion should hopefully be as simple as inputting an RSS/JSON or other feed. @manton2 may possibly know of others.
@realkimhansen @jimpick @mattscomments While I'm thinking about it, if you aren't aware yet, this year's IndieWeb Summit is coming up on June 26-27 in Portland. It would be great to see you all there.

Hey! Yep, actually just stopped working on the new version before my laptop battery died. This one has taken a bit longer because I’ve been adding some caching support for Microsub stuff. Hoping to get it pushed by the end of the weekend đŸ€ž

😂 "For younger viewers, blogs and forums were where we talked on the web before everyone gave up and piled inside a load of walled gardens." https://youtu.be/jC4NNUYIIdM?t=3m4s Also this is a great explanation of the black dot bug and why unicode is hard. <⚫> #indieweb

Marty any tips on traveling from Maryland to Portland in June? It’s still very questionable whether I’ll be able to make it out to IWS live, but I’m investigating travel just in case. Seems like most stuff I’m seeing is it takes like 3 days by train and it costs ~$400 round trip. Any secrets or is that about what you found?
