I am very much looking forward to the week, and I hope you all have a fantastic time while you're in Portland.\n\nHere are a few last details before we meet. You'll probably want to save this update so you can refer to it as you make your way to Portland for the festivities.\n\nWeather\n\nIt looks like we'll have some pretty great weather, much less hot than last year! The forecast is showing a high of 77 and low of 52, with a chance of rain Monday morning and dry the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to sharing Portland's nice weather with you in contrast to last year's 100+ degree days!\n\n\n\nBreakfast and Lunch\n\nWe will be providing bagels, fruit, and protein bars on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings thanks to GoDaddy. Coffee will be available all day thanks to Mozilla!\n\nLunch on Wednesday will be provided at the venue thanks to Okta. We'll have a taco bar with gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options! Tuesday lunch will be on your own at any of the nearby food carts.\n\nMonday Pre-Party\n\n\n\nOn Monday evening, we'll be hosting a pre-party at Pine Street Market in downtown Portland starting at 5:30pm.\n\nWe'll have drink tickets available thanks to Name.com, and anyone is welcome to come to the pre-party!\n\nPine Street Market has a variety of food and drink options, including burgers and veggie burgers, ramen, pizzas, bratwursts and German pretzels as well as Salt & Straw ice cream, excellent coffee, smoothies and fantastic cocktails.\n\nGetting Around\n\nWe'll be at the Eliot Center at 1126 SW Salmon St, in the Buchan Building. What if you look at separating your Yarns code into client and server, connected by microsub? That may be simplifying in structure, and if there are bits missing, that will inform the microsub spec.

While you should ultimately choose the best option for you, I would strongly encourage the use of #3. Microsub readers are off to a great start, and I think the biggest barrier to entry is going to be servers. Aperture opening up will be a great step, but as you said, some people will want an easy way to have their feed data on their own server. A Wordpress plug-in that Added a Microsub Server to their Wordpress install would be a HUGE leap in lowering the bar for entry into using Microsub for ordinary people.

As Eddie said, having a great Microsub server built on top of WordPress would be a massive win for the community, as it would greatly reduce the barrier of entry, and encourage the development of more Microsub clients. That said, Yarns is also (currently) mostly a *reader*, so having it be a Microsub client is also a great idea.
I'd say, selfishly, #3, but really what I'd love to see is for you to do *both* a Microsub server and a Microsub client for WordPress!
