After a bit of experimentation and tinkering tonight, it appears that one can use their #WordPress website to create threaded conversations on #Mastodon (and likely other portions of the #Fediverse) using the IndieWeb syndication strategy of POSSE with backfeed of comments using #Webmention and Brid.gy. I’d outlined the process using Twitter in the past, and the same principles seem to work well for Mastodon. #IndieWeb#FTW#FediTips *[POSSE]: Post on Own Site, Syndicate Elsewhere (https://boffosocko.com/?p=55812913)

Congratulations to @paulrobertlloyd on the launch of getindiekit.com.… It’s an incredibly polished and well-designed #indieweb tool. If you’re thinking of setting up a personal website (you should!) then you should definitely be checking out Indiekit.

@chrisaldrich Another #IndieWeb question for you! I'm syndicating blog posts from kfitz.info to Mastodon, where they appear from @kfitz@kfitz.info, and then I boost from this account. Replies to @kfitz@kfitz.info appear as comments to the blog post, as desired. But if I reply to the comment on the blog, that reply doesn't syndicate here, so the commenter doesn't know. And if I reply to the comment here, the reply comes from this account (and I'm not yet sure whether it appears as a reply on the blog or not). How do you manage this?

Fun fact: You can use @wallabag to save web content for later reading, and use its built-in RSS feeds with Calibre to generate your own Saturday morning ebook of articles you saved during the week.
Advanced mode: I use Huginn to pull newsletters from my email (e.g. Matt Levine) and push to Wallabag. Result: Matt Levine on my Kindle!

Nowadays it's easiest ever to code. You have search engines, social medias, open source community and artificial intelligence to help you.
On top of this, the coding community is stronger than ever on Fediverse. I've been trying different approaches this week like never before. I rarely give up if not knowing something myself but this time I would have quit if I hadn't any help. This is powerful. #Coding#OpenSource#Indieweb#Programming#WebDev

Known or previously Idno, has two plug-ins to enable, Twitter and Mastodon, from there, you can blog from one place and syndicate to Twitter & Mastodon in one shot.
Then with https://brid.gy its possible to aggregate social interactions back to the blog as comments. #indieweb

A reminder that you can pull your posts from your #Mastodon server using the RSS feed or the JSON API, and put them on your own website, like I did: https://abhinavsarkar.net/microblog/
