Been thinking about running a headless wordpress site, and wanted to look into "offloading" media storage from the server and put media on on s3 or digital ocean space. Found this perfect plugin called "WP OFFLOAD MEDIA" and it turns out it's really expensive, and they charge per file uploaded. Al hilo de mis 22 años en la #blogosfera, habría que recordar a David de Ugarte que, en 2008 y mucho antes de la creación de #Mastodon, creó la "Red de miniposts distribuidos" (RMD). Aquello fue
un intento de crear un sistema descentralizado, en contraposición a redes sociales como el #birdsite. David de Ugarte fue un pionero de la #indieweb y por eso debería estudiarse en primero de internet 😉

I'd like a WP microblogging plugin for my site (ideally with an app interface, but web is okay) that would allow me to easily publish posts like these and show them in a chronological feed...like Mastodon or bird site, but on a dedicated page on my blog. Maybe even have comments and threading? Too much to ask? I don't think it exists, but clue me in if it does! Or if there is a hack for it.

@pearlbear I'd say #indieweb is an "old" thing that was trendy when you start blogging, and some folks are trying to bring back the spotlight on it since Twitter is going off track and they realize it's nice to own your data and don't rely solely on for-profit corporation.

Time for another one of my #BigTechBreakup updates! This time I tackled my mobile provider and moved to a carrier that isn't as bad as my old one. It wasn't easy to find an outstanding option but, I saved a lot of money and plan to turn that around and contribute more to #IndieWeb there by making it an indie web upgrade! https://blog.meadowhawk.xyz/bye-bye-vz-its-been-too-long
