        "html": "<p>What I\u2019m learning from writing notes and syndicating it to social networks is that because it takes a bunch more time to do, I\u2019ve found myself writing longer and longer notes.</p><p>Here\u2019s what this process currently looks like:</p><ol><li>I compose a new note on my website with whatever I want to post, and save it. This includes:<ol><li>The title</li><li>If I\u2019m replying to someone, link to the post I\u2019m responding to</li><li>The content</li><li>Images if needed</li><li>Tags</li></ol></li><li>I create a shortlink that can be shared on the social network.<ol><li>A title (this is internal to the CMS and only for organisation)</li><li>Link to the note</li><li>A URL slug</li></ol></li><li>I syndicate the post across to the social networks I want, including the backlink to my published note on my site<ol><li>For ActivityPub, I can copy the content across with minimal changes since I have an extremely high character limit, and it supports Markdown so it\u2019s usually one and done.</li><li>For others with a character limit (like bsky), I copy as much of the content as I can, including tags, then truncate the rest with the link back to the original.</li></ol></li><li>I then edit my note to link to all the syndicated copies.</li></ol><p>So yes, it\u2019s a lot of work but it seems that by doing that I force myself to think a bit more before I write or reply to a post, which is better for those kinds of things.</p><p>At other times I just wanna write a quick reply so it\u2019s less good at doing that lmao</p><p><code>(flawbee.net/s/n23-11s)</code></p><p><a href=\"https://beep.flawbee.net/tag/indieweb\">#IndieWeb</a> <a href=\"https://beep.flawbee.net/tag/posse\">#POSSE</a></p>",

But I extend this warning to those who have placed their trust in *any* platform, even something like Mastodon. See what has happend with outdoors.lgbt (<a href=\"http://outdoors.lgbt\"><span>http://</span><span>outdoors.lgbt</span><span></span></a>) (i.e. catastrophic backup failure), or what is _currently_ happening with fosstodon (<a href=\"https://m6n.io/@fuzzychef/110936040096524936\"><span>https://</span><span>m6n.io/@fuzzychef/110936040096</span><span>524936</span></a>) and you will see that even good intentioned server admins are still prone to failure. These failures can result in total loss of your online identity/account. So put your faith in yourself.
