Recently read an article about #posse and got fascinated around the #indieweb movement. Claiming your data is important. But if you can't, why not link back to a source that you actually own?

Any #IndieWeb folk heading to #ffconf next week? I’m wondering if anyone fancies a little informal Homebrew Website Club, or maybe just a coffee or a pint.

If there is a #indieweb full of cats then we need to have also a #indieweb of dogs

@pax I see.

Well, that is up to each admin. As long as they know how to differentiate between #Bridgy as #IndieWeb and the Bridgy bridge for the #ATprotocol. If they block the IndieWeb Bridgy that's going to be the most misinformed thing they'll ever do.

As for "normal fedi server", I thing that's very subjective. When is one "evil"? What constitute "racist"? And define "garbage".

Does an instance from Africa by and for Africans racist because they normally use #negro? Am I racist if you see me talk about #KKK? What if an instance is trying to be as neutral as possible? And as moderators are mostly not paid thus there are few moderators in each instance, does it make an instance "not normal" just because they can't monitor every single post and take action against every report immediately?

A few days ago I talked about how Ferdinand Magellan was, is, and never will be a hero contrary to the claims of Spaniards and his white supporters, am I racist then? But they are not despite his many victims and how he looked down on people especially those who are not white?

That's like saying I am not #autistic because I don't look from the upper-right corner of my eyes, or doesn't flap my arms, so I must be "normal"?

😃

@pax Why?

And can you please clarify what is a "normal fedi server"?

#Fediverse #Bridgy #Fediblock #IndieWeb

@Anubis2814 Yep, they said they have a bridge ready; so for #Friendica users, they don't need to use the #Bridgy bridge.

Though, I think if one has a blog, and they want replies to appear as a comment on their blog, they still have to use https://brid.gy unless they already #IndieWeb support before.

It can be sooooo hard but sooooo fun working on your personal website! I'm getting close to finishing the default state of my site. This is the "stage” (https://stage.czepeda.com) area where I'm working on before I push it to https://czepeda.com. I do have it on a private github repo, but not quite ready to start getting issue pull requests. #indieweb

The Threads team is exploring a content publishing API I’ve replied to encourage them to consider adopting #micropub rather than defining their own unique API. They’ve committed to support ActivityPub so if they’re serious about the open web then Micropub should also be considered.

From what I was able to gather from https://brid.gy

* #BlueSky #federation through the #ATprotocol will be enabled sometime in early 2024

* The #IndieWeb service #Bridgy is ready to handle bridge AT protocol and ActivityPub protocol posts and replies once federation is enabled in production (already working in sandbox test server).

The format will be:
1. To follow a #Fediverse account from BlueSky / AT protocol: <username>.<server_domain>.ap.brid.gy

Example: @youronlyone.c.im.ap.brid.gy

2. To follow a BlueSky / AT protocol user: <username>@atproto.brid.gy

Example: @atp.youronly.one@atproto.brid.gy

This allows users from each side to see new posts and to reply to these threads.

What is more interesting is that, if you have IndieWeb support on your website or blog, you will see comments from BlueSky / AT protocol appear as a comment, thanks to #Webmention. It is already possible to do this with Fediverse / ActivityPub. ^_~
