š New Post: Podcasts Worth Exploring: Recommendations Received
https://flamedfury.com/posts/podcasts-worth-exploring-recommendations-received/
Hello! You may see a new verified link on my profile. I'm playing around with https://omg.lol, which comes with access to https://social.lol
Not really sure what I'm going to do with the space, but you can follow me there too @phildini@social.lol.
(I'm still here too, just exploring ever more #indieweb fun)
Mark Zuckerberg posted to Threads about starting ActivityPub testing, but itās not clear what the scope of the test is. Doesnāt appear to be available to outside platforms yet. Still, a big deal just announcing it.
Really happy with the cute lil ālink in bioā site I was able to make with drag-and-drop elements on mmm.page in a couple hours š©

hid a lil poem somewhere on the page :]

Thereās a kind of zen flow that programmers unblock when they experience their software daily as an end user. Thereās no better catalyst for ideas and experimentation, no better prioritization driver than having to face the bugs, annoyances, and limitations of an application first-hand.

I just came across https://indieblog.page, a site that lets you "discover the #IndieWeb, one blog post at a time".
You can also follow @indieblog that for updates and daily links.
Hereās a good walkthrough of adding microformats to your site, starting with h-card and moving on to h-entry.

Any more websites like this still out there?

I'm dying for simplicity.
Also, what a time to be alive it was when you had Nikki Sudden actually commenting on some random review of a Swell Maps compilation.
Also, the place where I discovered Polvo.
I didnāt want to play the game of striving to be seen.
I just wanted to be.
#introduction hey fellow #omglol friends!
I'll keep this short since it's late and my brain is on low battery.
I'm Jason. Today is my first day on the #sociallol server. I'm happy to be here.
I'm a freelance writer and web developer in Atlanta and Orlando.
Lately, I've been into exploring the #indieweb, #smallweb, and #oldweb.
I made a custom site a few months back, and continue to tinker with it. I added omg.lol just last night!
Free free to reach out, I'd love to meet ya. āļø
Someone asked me for direction with their first personal project webapp. The first project of this type is way too hard in many cases because plenty of behaviors that seem simple require not just some static HTML and JavaScript, but a publicly addressable server.
I recorded the main options as I see them: https://epw.github.io/servers.html
I hope that at some point this gets better. I also couldn't stop myself from writing a similar page for logins, where things are worse.
I love that #indieweb releases for #elgg keep coming. Nice work, @elgg! https://elgg.org/plugins/3292492
š New Post, My Podcast Rotation: Keeping It At Four
Exploring my podcast habitsā¦

What podcasts do you subscribe to and actively listen to?
Iāve really loved writing for and building my blog over the years, making it uniquely mine. I highly encourage *everyone* to have an Internet āhomeā of their own and even better, to publish their own writing/thoughts there! A few years ago I wrote about why I blog and why you should too!
