@tchambers Federated store front would be doable, federated payment would be harder (though possibly doable as well)
There has been some work on #hProduct in the #indieweb / #microformat space, which may be reusable: http://microformats.org/wiki/h-product
And also #relPayment: https://indieweb.org/payment

I’ve been building out a Calendar section for my #IndieWeb blog, listing out events I may be going to over the next year, so friends (old and new) can get in touch if they want to join me!
Being able to post even my potential physical location online is a privilege, but one I’ll happily invest to foster a more connected 2024 😊
Testing out the first few here: https://www.byjp.me/calendar/ (or /ipns/www.byjp.me/calendar/ on #ipfs)

2/2 On the other hand, my team and I've taken a new way for our platform and look to the future with new hope.
We've become a little closer to decentralization with #IndieWeb integration for #Elgg and we're preparing for a big breakthrough to release the ActivityPub plugin for Elgg too.
I''m writing this post from the hospital but tomorrow I'll be at home with my family.
And this also gives me hope.
I'm sure 2024 won't be the best year, but I'm hopeful.
I just hope.
I wish everyone hope!

Realizing the web is going full-circle (at least in my circles). Back to the days of web apps. Back to the days/vibes of the old internet (because of #mastodon and other #smalltech / #SmallWeb / #indieweb sites). It’s refreshing.

Genuine question, why do people have a blog **and** a newsletter? For my setup, I got it set up so that if I tag a blog post, mailing list, on my website, it goes to my mailing list, so that way, if my mailing list provider shuts down one day, everything is still on my website. I do this with IFTTT because I can output cleaner subject lines and body content with my tags RSS feed than what my mailing list provider outputs from my RSS feed. #IndieWeb #IFTTT #Newsletter

Getting some learning on and finally making time to master GitHub Actions. From what I have seen so far, I can use these to pursue my goal of having my website be a static site that is kept up-to-date via data pulls from APIs during compile time.

"text": "A sober breakdown of what it may mean for Meta's new social network to finally join the open social web (aka the fediverse).\nFor many people, this has been a hard pill to swallow: while it's clear that Meta has been a human rights disaster, its embrace of open social web protocols is a vindication and (if you'll pardon the double meaning of the term) a platforming of that movement that may lead to the accelerated growth of the open social web itself.\nI would like to see more social networks - both new and established - join the open social web. The biggest thing that worries me is having a single whale in the room that can, in effect, dictate the evolution of the protocols in its favor. A multi-polar social web would be a much more user-centric place (just as the web is at its best when there are multiple major browsers). #Technology",

Un article de @ploum a interpellé Daoro et Mayeu, qui recherchent un web plus ouvert, loin de celui pourri par la chasse aux profits.
