Here are some entries I like:\n\n\nBlood \u2014 One hundred duck-sized Christs is better than one horse-sized Jesus.\n\nTragedy \u2014\u00a0Greek tragedies are time-travel stories.\n\nReaction \u2014\u00a0Weekend action, weekend reaction.\n\nConduct \u2014\u00a0Kindnesses and cruelties.\n\nLovers in a dangerous time \u2014\u00a0Europe, 1991.\nI wrote some actually useful stuff about web design and development too.\n\n\nThree attributes for better web forms \u2014 Better UX through better HTML: inputmode, enterkeyhint, and autocomplete.\n\nRead-only web apps \u2014\u00a0It\u2019s fine to require JavaScript for read/write functionality. But have you considered a read-only mode without JavaScript?\n\nevent.target.closest \u2014\u00a0DOM scripting and event handling.\n\nHTML web components \u2014 Don\u2019t replace. Instead, it uses a combination of Bluesky\u2019s RSS feeds and the AT Protocol.</p>\n<p>To follow a Bluesky user who has an account username in the form username.bsky.social, just search for the username in Micro.blog. It doesn\u2019t work for custom domain usernames in Bluesky, because Micro.blog will think you want to follow the user\u2019s blog instead.</p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a screenshot showing a search:</p>\n<img src=\"https://cdn.uploads.micro.blog/10/2023/bsky-search.png\" alt=\"Screenshot of searching for scottmccloud.bsky.social in Micro.blog's Discover page.\" width=\"700\" height=\"180\" /><p>Note that Bluesky\u2019s RSS feeds are brand new, and there are a few missing pieces. For my setup, I got it set up so that if I tag a blog post, mailing list, on my website, it goes to my mailing list, so that way, if my mailing list provider shuts down one day, everything is still on my website. The oldest recoverable post was from 2002.
