I introduced a new kind of post on my site to try and encourage me to capture the shorter kinds of thoughts that might otherwise go elsewhere. #indieweb https://werd.io/2024/introducing-asides

Decentered S1E3: Ryan Barrett Has a Bridge to Sell Us

Friday nights are for relaxed research so I can get up early on Saturday morning, make coffee and write. I love being on the Indieweb where creating things is something we do together. Looking forward to what y’all come up with this weekend.

Received an email from Timehop. They miss me! With their connection to social media sites (that I previously used) severed, I don't see the use anymore.

Besides, that functionality is already replicated on my website which contains my previous social media posts, and new social media posts actually originate there. There’s that. #IndieWeb

I’m thinking about converting all of the fields on my website to store as HTML, and then convert to alternative formats as needed for the destination. But I still have some unanswered questions.

@immarisabel You're not alone! It's a big #indieweb with a lot of different voices!

I bought the bukmark.club TLD on Feb. 16th. The directory is growing almost daily, and it currently contains 53 websites.

That should be reason enough to play with our brand new "Visit Random Page" button I just placed there... 😱👾

...or simply click this link, if you're feeling particularly lucky today: https://bukmark.club/directory/random 🎰🎲

"Interactivity of personal sites and webmentions" by @johanna is a great read and reminder to make the #IndieWeb your own. https://dead.garden/blog/interactivity-of-personal-sites-and-webmentions.html

#indieweb #indiewebdev #indiedev #neocities #oldweb hi yall
any recommendations for indie web dev instances? gamedev/modddev are ok too, but mostly it should be about webdev or at least something more general (like about creating stuff or something). instances about free internet, digital privacy, ppl who like sharing their digital gardens are cool too!
but pls not professional only : D
im doing it just for fun! and would like to see many others doing it just for fun!
thank you! :blobcatcozy:

What is a fun link you’ve come across recently? #smallweb #indieweb

Whew, 19 minutes left in February in the Pacific time zone and I just got my entry over the line for this month's #IndieWeb Carnival. Made it.

The topic is "digital relationships" and I reflected on how things have changed since the pandemic started.

This month's #IndieWeb Carnival has an interesting theme of Accessibility in the Personal/Small Web, hosted by orchids in the basement community.

This is my Leap Day post. There are many like it, but— hah, no I can’t finish that.

I did wonder if I had ever posted on Leap Day. Apparently only a few, back in 2016:

the missing thing to make the web healthy again. Indieweb search engines are great, but if I don't know what I'm looking for?
