Alright, me creating the "Activity" feed on my site really kicked off a bunch of other things I've wanted to do…
- Activity feed (https://shellsharks.com/activity) now features #devlog posts
- Changelogs are bucketed weekly and visible inline in the Activity feed
- Devlog content series is now live (https://shellsharks.com/devlog)
- Devlog 1 published: https://shellsharks.com/devlog/initialization
- I have a new RSS feed for devlogs and an "all content" RSS feed for those who are crazy enough to sub to everything I write
Not an endorsement as I've never used them, but thought some out there may be interested in a NeoCities alternative I haven't seen discussed much: NekoWeb
#NeoCities #Web1 #YesterWeb #IndieWeb #OldInternet #Websites #HTML
@kriskowal Tools that prioritize interests of users are much in line with what I consider the #IndieWeb. Prioritizing the capability and independence of the user agent (which is a wonderful phrase that I see people reappreciating lately) is a valid approach.
@deadsuperhero Love everything you and We Distribute are doing! Being a fairly active writer and having run a podcast series not too long ago I know how much work it can all be. With #Threads federating and X continuing to crumble there is A LOT of organic interest in the #Fediverse + the #IndieWeb and I see your site becoming more of a gateway for folks to learn what is out there.
I'll keep spreading the word about you guys and hopefully more eyes will mean more support on the way!
#indieweb folks I am looking for some guidance.
if you're implementing #webmention I think the should the receiver should (async) attempt to fetch an h-entry and, if available, h-card for the 'source' url.
does that sound correct? not super certain which fields and things I should expect and what to do about the rest.
Pass the Salt eBook for review.
I understand this is giving my new book away for free, but honestly, have at it! If any podcasters or bloggers or #YouTube people wanna review Pass the Salt, or anybody just wants to grab it for free, here you go! This folder will be deleted in 2 months, so have fun with it! If you like it, support my writing financially.
Publisher: Compassiviste Publishing.

Oh no I did the thing
I've just published another #indieweb-inspired post that I've been meaning to get out. It describes the various types of post content that I have on the site, e.g. notes, posts, logs, etc…
https://shellsharks.com/multiplicity-of-writing
I encourage everyone to
A. have a website, then…
B. publish writing on said website, &
C. have a "mixed content" strategy where you feel free to write in different forms for different reasons and different audiences.
I explain why in the shared post above. Happy bloggin’!
🌟 Super exciting update!

"Making version noir" - post from werd.io
This is completely lovely: a responsive, noir-inspired personal homepage in the form of a comic. I'm inspired. #Indieweb

One of the things I love about #IndieWeb life is the global community. I live in a small city in the southern US where we have plenty of problems, but also a few bright spots. One of my goals is to be up front about all of that with the people I meet online. So I wrote about The Southern Problem https://louplummer.lol/post/the-southern-pronlem
