Mycorrhiza is a free self-hosted #wiki engine developed by @bouncepaw and the wonderful contributors. It features file-based storage, history, a custom markup language, categories, among other features.
Mycorrhiza 1.15 is finally released today! Among changes: linked diffs in Recent changes, /today and /edit-today links, changeable passwords, PDF/printer CSS, and more.

Happy gardening!
My main focus was to make the project easy to use and host, and with @glitchdotcom #MadeWithGlitch and #neocities, this is as simple as "download the ZIP file, extract the project files, and drag and drop them to the editor", or simply "click here to import project straight from GitHub".
Love it. The web can still be fun and easy!
Something from nothing is no fairy tale: https://writingslowly.com/2024/06/29/something-from-nothing.html
If you were writing an article, your article title would most likely be an h1 tag, but if you wanted a subtitle, what tag would you use? I'm leaning towards an aside, but I'm not entirely confident that's the right choice.

Which #Fediverse or #IndieWeb app is adding this?!
Truly the last thing I'd want this to have is to be able to post into a "particular feed" so only those who are subscribed to it could (this would be what allows one to have a 'nerd' account, a 'plant' account, etc all under one handle)
I had (and have!) high hopes for the #fediverse and #indieweb
working on a blog post and I had to comb through my archive and found this #fediverse #indieweb
This was the prototype of https://slides.com/jackyalcine-1/destination-the-fediverse
"With respect to content that is already on the open web, the social contract of that content since the 90s has been that it is fair use. Anyone can copy it, recreate with it, reproduce with it. That has been freeware, if you like. That's been the understanding." - #Microsoft CEO of #AI Mustafa Suleyman
To be honest, yes, that's how we rolled back in the good ol' days of the OG #IndieWeb 🤷

「Big tech doesn’t care about people; LLM industry actively seeks harm. We’re seeing it time after time again. They consider the open web to be a resource that exists only for them to harvest.」

My new blog theme is live 🎉
The fediverse feels hackable. Like the old days.
The other day I discovered the #IndieWeb and https://fed.brid.gy/. And that it's blocked in my instance. I got into reading the standards battles between #Bluesky and #Mastodon. It feels just like the old days, except hopefully we've learned a thing or two.
But, like for your habits, I know that hackability & tech experimentalism probably makes it more inaccessible to many. And that's sad.
