Been working on getting into the habit of #smolweb habits of writing down my random thoughts/ideas and publishing them in more a meaningful form factor. In that spirit:
Inspired by Chevy Ray’s latest post, wondering about adapting old Sierra On-Line adventure game fonts into modern TTF assets…

This is my approach to website projects for clients. If you need any web work or know anyone that might need some work, please reach out!
It’s here! The Indie Aisle Pages theme. A collection of HTML components with template examples for using them. Free to download and build from using a visual editor.
My favorite #Mastodon feed? The Local feed of my instance, indieweb.social
Why? Because with about ~1300 monthly active users, and ~10 posts/hour, or less, it is actually possible to check *everything* that was posted today in a reasonable time!
And, I automatically have something in common with everyone here; the instance's focus: #openweb, #indieweb, #fediverse & #humanetech
It feels like the good old days of being a regular on a bulletin board forum around a topic I really enjoy.
Where are the guides explaining how to add, receive, send, and use Webmentions effectively without displaying them on your own website? I. Don’t. Want. Your. Data. Every guide that I’ve read so far has been utterly obsessed with displaying web mentions on their posts and I actually want to respect things like deletions, or edits, and if I display content on my website, that’s more that I will need to clean up if the person removes their post for whatever reason. I’m not at all interested in cleaning up others Data nor content. I simply don’t want it. Yet, every single guide I read so far is obsessed with displaying the webmention content on their own websites.
I use #ClassicPress but I play with SSGs from time to time so throw any link at me. #WebMentions #WebMention #SmallWeb #IndieWeb #Internet

> What we are nostalgic for isn’t terrible websites. It’s personal websites. It’s just a bit of diversity in design choices. It’s a hint of a person. Not a personal brand.
I'm all about this. I don't miss the less-than-desirable designs, but those personal connections we made along the way. I'm excited about what we're doing in these small web circles… https://flamedfury.com/bookmarks/its-not-about-nostalgia-its-about-human-connection-rscottjones/
