Hey, go visit https://howdidyoufind.me and tell them I sent you.
The Social Web Foundation works to grow this new ecosystem in an open, healthy, and sustainable way—working with technologists and the public to build a new global town square that works for everyone.
This looks very interesting. I’m going to be honest, though, even though I know this is petty: I’m insulted that Micro.blog wasn’t given a heads-up about this before launch. We’ve only supported ActivityPub since 2018. 🤪

Have posted slides from the talk I gave earlier this year at Peckham Digital’s 3rd Festival of Creative Computing. In this introduction to the #IndieWeb I explain its two core ideas, showcase ideas for things you can create, and share the ways you can participate in its community. https://paulrobertlloyd.com/2024/201/s1/peckham_digital/

Oh thank heavens!
I started a WordPress website, self-hosting in a Docker container. By the time I was done, I had a crash-course in full stack development and information security. 😑
Just discovered #indieweb and I am quite relieved to start over with a basic HTML/CSS website.
Wrote a new blog post about a bunch of random topics (mostly stuff you've already seen if you follow me on Mastodon, but also with pictures of some Yokai Kemuri cards we got from before the manufacturer discontinued them)

I am a bit lost about the direction. I try to write if I had fun and I avoid spoilers. The first one is the goal, I don't care if something is objectively good.
But does the "no spoiler" add any value? I have no idea, but it makes for a less "meaty" texts.
Today in #indieweb, I'm working on adding a dead link checker to my blog. I found lychee, a fast rust link checker, and it has an associated GitHub action https://github.com/lycheeverse/lychee https://github.com/lycheeverse/lychee-action/
It's got a lot of nice configuration options, and in particular an option to suggest wayback-machine replacements for dead links. Since I have thousands of links on my blog, this is helpful to get me back to "passing CI" before I make the GH action start alerting me when links die.
OK so version 1 was fine.
Version 2? Version 2 is better.
Never tried isometric drawing like this before; but cool, right?
My latest release for @indieaisle is an example of the #indieweb in action: an HTML template for building a static site, designed as a hub for indie creators to showcase their work.
