I decided to style my #RSS feed to make it more human readable. Mostly because I can and figuring out how to is interesting to me. This post from @inautilo that links to this page sent me down this road. Down through the rabbit hole I found this stylesheet that makes it pretty easy to do if you have an RSS 2.0 feed aboutfeeds/tools/pretty-feed-v3.xsl. Well, easy if you control how your RSS is generated. #indieweb (https://techlifeweb.com/blog/2024/11/2024-11-17-post-160629/)

In 2018, when I added ActivityPub support to Micro.blog, I faced a choice: do I fight other “competing” platforms or do I embrace them? In hindsight that decision is obvious. I support anything that makes the web better. Twitter / X migration to Bluesky at scale makes the web better, so I’m for it.

Oh, it looks like my discord webhook guestbook on neocities isn't working anymore, anyone know if something got changed with that or what's the current meta for guestbooks on static sites these days?

I'd prefer not to sign up for an external service but if it works well for you guys I'll consider it, specially since it is a lil awkward to manually update the page...

I've spent a little time working on my Kirby CMS based main website today. I love most of the things about my site, but as I have extended it to do more complex things, I've become frustrated by some aspects of the workflow, layout and syndication... read on for a little more detail on what I've been working on, and am planning... #kirbyCMS #indieWeb

Can I microblog this way on a blogger site. This is just a Post with the label 'Social' made to display the 'data:post.body' on the post display feed- I could reply and bookmark and like- Maybe short post too

current playful idea is to add a "last number of open tabs count: ##" line to the footer of my website each time I generate it

Escape from Twitter: The Future of Social Media Is Decentralized

I really like personal homepages and have quite a list of them bookmarked. I'll post one every week unless I fall behind this schedule. 😉 So here's Cool Personal Homepages #CPH Vol. 30: "the museum of alexandra" https://xandra.cc/

PS: @xandra is on Mastodon!

Reading the docs for the new @eleventy import CLI, I had to remind myself what PESOS is. It’s an #IndieWeb term meaning “Publish Elsewhere, Syndicate (to your) Own Site” (https://indieweb.org/PESOS). I know POSSE is preferred by indie web, but I’ve always thought the reverse makes more sense for social. When posting on Mastodon, I’m participating in a community, so it should not be a piece of content isolated on my website. *Archiving* my Mastodon posts to my website makes more sense.
