Leveraging IndieWeb to Avoid Storing Others' Data
https://fed.brid.gy/r/https://evgenykuznetsov.org/en/posts/2020/indieweb-glue/
@kolev your first stop should be https://indiewebify.me/ which will help verify your site is set up correctly. Then the trick is figuring out how to send webmentions to brid.gy #indieweb
This weekend is #IndieWeb Camp in #SanDiego. Looking forward to learning and improving my website and helping others do the same. https://events.indieweb.org/2024/12/indiewebcamp-san-diego-2024-7C9aq9A4Zv9m #SmallWeb #SlowWeb
Remember to keep an eye on this page for some great #indieweb blog content (including mine 😛)!
Inspired by @jedda and in the spirit of sharing and discovering great music, I also wanted to write a bit about my Spotify Wrapped this year.

Use whatever tech stack you want, but the only objectively correct stack is compiling Rust to Web Assembly

New Release Friday 12-06-2024
https://blog.shrediverse.net/posts/new-release-friday-12-06-2024
I am still thinking about what to do about my blog comments. I identified commentario, isso, remark42 and schnack as possible self-hosted replacements for disqus.
Unfortunately none of them seem to support webmentions or fediverse integration.
Is there anything I'm missing?

The most challenging part of my fediverse developer job isn't coding, it's deciding what I should focus on.
I do get sidetracked with @fedidb and infra sometimes, but I love it.
I love building and helping improve the social web, and your support really empowers me to go beyond!
Really excited for what we have in store, and look forward to a vibrant and productive 2025 🥳
Long live the #socialWeb
For #DecemberAdventure day 5 I added even more things to my sites holiday theme inspired by today's FrESH. Now the "online now" on the homepage has lights to match the rest of the site. https://benji.dog/articles/december-adventure-2024/#day-5

I cancelled my Strava premium membership today. It kept getting more expensive, and the new features mostly didn’t seem worth it.
The final straw was the recent API Agreement changes prohibiting showing “Strava data” to anyone else and “processing” data.

How I turned my blog into a social media hub #indieweb #social #microblog https://www.luisquintanilla.me/feed/how-i-turned-website-social-media-hub-newman?utm_medium=feed
Hey #indieweb folks.
I recently re-joined the industry and figured it would be good to join here.
My focus is primarily on web platform stuff. Creatively I opt for static sites that are fast, mobile-first and built upon resilient foundations.
I'm preparing to overhaul my personal website over Christmas, but for now you can see my old games portfolio here: https://spdp.dev.
Thanks for having me 🙂
