Visited links on Fern River Club now appear in a different color so you can keep track of the scenes you've read.
(Doesn't work in private windows, because no history there 😉)
"Relational creation means recognizing the value that others have brought to you, and wanting to acknowledge it publicly. That means crediting… that means linking."

And while I was at it, I added a colophon page, to keep track of the technical details of my website:
Happy Sunday!
This morning I implemented a "changelog" page on my personal website, just because.
Hopefully this gesture will kickstart my productivity back to a decent level because I've been struggling a lot with procrastination lately and I really need to move my ass forward!
📝 New Post: Music Questions Challenge
A new blog challenge appears. Check out some of my musical favourites.
Aún no sabemos en casa qué se comerá hoy, pero por si acaso el "Arroz con conejo" está suelto:
🔖 Bookmarked Blogging just because (https://folkmoss.bearblog.dev/blogging-just-because/)
folkmoss emphasizes the liberating and cathartic nature of writing without a specific purpose. I need to take the hint and get right back into posting for the hell of it. I love bloggers who do that.
🔖 Bookmarked thoughts to text (https://theresmiling.eu/blog/2024/10/why-my-own-website)
Elena shares their motivation for creating a personal website despite having only a basic understanding of HTML and CSS or having a specific purpose for one. The freedom of self-expression that a personal site offers is enough reason. Why don't you have your own website?
🔖 Bookmarked RSS blogrolls are a federated social network (https://alexsci.com/blog/blogroll-network/)
Robert Alexander explores the potential of RSS feeds and blogrolls to create a federated social network that revitalises the small web, similar to what the fediverse has done for social media. Think of a network of connected blogrolls.

🔖 Bookmarked dealing with rage bait in the indie web (https://blog.avas.space/rage-bait/)
Ava discusses the concept of **rage bait** on the indie web. Bad actors amongst our spaces intentionly drawing out strong emotional reactions from others, hiding their true nature. What moderation options exist, especially when these messages of ill will exist on their own websites?

Lately, I’ve been rethinking what matters for me design. Too much of it fights for attention instead of serving a purpose.
For me, design should be:
✔️ Simple, clear and useful.
✔️ Honest—no tricks, no noise.
✔️ Calm, not overwhelming.
✔️ Built to last, not trends.
✔️ Information upfront, no digging.

I got severe hives unexpectedly, so the blog's release might be delayed a bit 😓 Rest assured, though, that the blog is already 97% done. I've gone in a different direction from when I started, so here's an in-the-works screenshot of what you can expect from the final blog.
Does dot com still have the pull that it did?
Because I’ve never really felt like it’s inherently better
I don’t own any dot com domains, I’d rather use one that’s more in line with the actual site
I use dot me for personal sites, dot app for my apps, dot dev for my dev business, and dot social for my old mastodon instance
Made a few new changes to The Digital Renaissance's website:
- Accent color is less prevalent (less obnoxious, IMO)
- Links to some of my more prominent tags
- Featured articles
