I created a search engine for your and other's bookmarks:

Yay! If you’re looking for writing inspiration, there’s a monthly blog carnival. This month’s topic is “Affirmations” by my friend @artlung.com. More coming up: indieweb.org/IndieWeb_Carnival
I really appreciate folks making the #SmallWeb #IndieWeb more capable. @scottandrew has some interesting work implementing a combination of #Eleventy and #ButtonDown to enhance sites with subscriber-only content. https://scottandrew.com/blog/2025/01/integrating-eleventy-with-buttondown-to-create-sub/
🤖 There’s a new post on Michael Burkhardt’s Whirled Wide Web:

Hi #indieweb, what is an alternative to Cloudflare DDoS protection? It can be a service but also can be a program software.
Web 2.0 failed. True online sharing died a long time ago. So start taking. Take your ideas, your words, your work–and go home.

I hade one of those "Awwww I love the indieweb" moments.
Discovered a blog and read some articles which I enjoyed. Wanted to leave something in their guestbook and what a lovely surprise: It was an art-guestbook. So you draw something instead of writing.
Did that. But there was yet another surprise: The Thank you page contained a livestream of a printer, printing the picture I just drew.
Come on. How can you not love that?
Thanks @goodenoughllc
I really enojyed this guide on how to escape social media and join the indie web.
Surprise! I'm changing things up a bit. I had originally planned to publish my #Indieweb / #Fediverse / #cybersecurity newsletter, "Scrolls", on Sundays but have decided that Friday works better for me actually getting it out on time. So, since it's Friday, here ya go!
https://shellsharks.com/scrolls/scroll/2025-02-07
You can subscribe to the newsletter (if you're so inclined) using the feed here https://shellsharks.com/feeds (I also have RSS feeds for other stuff I write).
Feel free to send me any feedback on it, good or bad! I hope ya like it. 🤗
Also, shoutout to some of the folks who unknowingly contributed to this weeks edition. I found something you wrote, or linked to, or boosted, or shared, and I shtuck in the scroll. Thanks! 🧡

Canadian writer, activist, and tech critic to log in as System Crash's first-ever guest host: Cory Doctorow (@pluralistic). Brian Merchant and Cory examine Elon Musk’s campaign of governmental destruction in Washington DC, how #enshittification will continue to unfold in 2025, and what, if any, hope there is for us, the humans and the users.

I’m the guest on the latest Hanselminutes podcast! It was great talking to Scott. We covered a lot in just half an hour: blogging, domain names, social networks, the fediverse, POSSE, discovery, and the Micro.one launch.
