Notes on making a digital garden on WordPress
A lot of times the Digital Garden scene seems dominated by developers. People who exist in in-between places like me feel a bit frustrated that the tools used – the static site generators – are so unfriendly to non-developer minds.
So, I’m glad that there are some folks who are building digital gardens on WordPress.
I have plans to use Obsidian and a plugin – probably either Quartz, Eveloppe or digital garden – to generate my static site one day, but this is a good workaround while I plan the possibly very complicated transition.
I did think about using Astro but the mechanics of it seem so frightening.

I’m happy to announce my retirement from UX.
Wonder if this guy wants more publicity, but I really appreciated his very, very honest LinkedIn post about retiring from UX. Had a look at his profile, and it looks like he made the transition from teaching to UX, not the easiest transition to make. And definitely not easy to leave due to the sunk cost-ness of it all.

I discontinued the Effexor and the concerning symptoms subsided throughout the day, and I only had minimal withdrawal symptoms (basically just a few hours of extreme nausea and some <em>really</em> intense dreams for a couple nights).</p><p>I\u2019m annoyed that this didn\u2019t end up being a workable solution but I\u2019m still holding out hope for the vestibular rehabilitation, as well as some other things I\u2019m trying, and whatever happens I\u2019m determined to survive and thrive, regardless.</p>\n\n\n<p>Also some folks said that I should have gone to the ER given the symptoms I was experiencing. If they had gotten any worse I would have, but the severity I was experiencing wasn\u2019t any worse than what happens when I eat a food that I have a quasi-allergic sensitivity to. It was mostly just uncomfortable.</p><p>On that note I also should see an allergist about my food sensitivities, although I\u2019ve done an IgE test which said I don\u2019t have an IgE sensitivity to those foods. I probably just have <a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mast_cell_activation_syndrome\">MCAS</a> or something. My body certainly is a wonderland. i'm alex, i'm a kitty 
who moved from poland to netherlands (living in Utrecht as of now) in september 2024 kind of by force
i speak polish and english, as well as trying to learn dutch (with little to no results though)

i also gamed a lot, but nowadays i am trying to find motivation to boot up something else than osu from time to time
