compost.party is a repurposed smartphone running on solar power, a 'web server pieced together from scraps, humming in the attic of an apartment building.'
I know there's skepticism of StackOverflow generally but I have added a bounty on an ancient question about the visual difference between a line of text and a field of text with the same color. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/27433399/same-color-text-text-looking-different-color

I talk through some possibilities to make it easier to make your own site even if you don't have much/any coding experience:
I’m happy to be a part of the inaugural issue of @xandra‘s Good Internet Magazine! Here’s my article on how the evolving tech for building a website is heading in the wrong direction.

We wouldn't be able to do this without the support we receive on Patreon to cover the maintenance and running costs of the server. Or without our volunteer moderator/hero @Thor 🔨
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported and continues to support indieweb.social. You're helping demonstrate the power of community away from Big Tech!

I've finally added a "Now page" to my site, to document my current focus in life. Thanks to a lot of inspiration from other personal sites and Derek Sivers, who came up with the idea. Have a look and consider creating your own version:

It just clicked that if my articles are properly tagged up with categories, dates etc in the RSS, I can use the same feed XML to spin off as many XSLT files as I want to make my archive fully browsable without having to separately generate static lists for each such property. Maybe it’s also possible to spin off separate RSS feeds based on categories/keywords this way? Adding that to my itches, that would be pretty neat.
I've been doing some (over)thinking lately on how I got STEMbofied
