This started out as a reply, and ended up a ramble. But thanks for the prompt anyway @robert !

My writing process, which often starts with Obsidian notes, has come up a few times in the last few weeks. So I wrote up my writing process to publish. My vanderwal.net and Personal InfoCloud sites are relatively similar.
@tchambers@indieweb.com Suggestion box for @thisweekinIndieweb - add the #IndieWeb hashtag on those toots! Just learned about the Mastodon bot today!
📬 Email just got shorter.
InlineStyle email addresses are now on the new domain: @inli.me
Shorter, cleaner, easier to share. Same service, same privacy-first approach.
This matches your personal website: yourname.inli.me
One identity. One place. All yours.
🔸 Existing users can still use their @inlinestyle.it address — and even set up forwarding in settings.
🔸 New users will get an @inli.me address by default.
We like things lean and simple 🖤
So the page is the same but I copied it to another server. I’m now trying to attract crawlers to this page to check my blocking (currently not active) rules.
I'm feeling pretty accomplished. Wrangled out a new blogging platform for zero outlay. Using Hugo with GitHub to serve it up via git and GitHub actions. There's not much there right now, but it's ready. Posts to be written. Old posts to be migrated to.
BongoTwisty (a portmanteau of nicknames I've been known by).

A Personal Blog
How does this look for you? Please have a look on your phones and other gadgets if you can.
@davew @timbray I think this is not so much a problem on "protocol" level (WordPress has comment RSS feeds since forever) but a lack of proper apps to support something like federated RSS.
(btw. the #indieweb movement has a lot of ideas around a social reader https://indieweb.org/reader)
I think we had a very similar discussion around the same time last year and I wrote about my ideas on my blog https://notiz.blog/2024/04/26/activitypub-the-evolution-of-rss/ (it is in german though 🫣)
New on the blog: The one where I list some of my favourite Italian pop music.
I love Italian pop music. I am a bit obsessed again currently. Which means I've been listening to nothing but Italian pop music for weeks. And there is no end in sight.

I've had some downtime so I redid my website using microblog. Using git is great and all, but there's something nice about using a CMS to make quick edits without the hassle of a CLI.
If we’re going to have any hope of publishing anything on the web in an era of AI slop without it being immediately crawled and therefore stolen by these companies, I believe we need to block them.
Many of the tools I’m working on require a login/aren’t public.
But public stuff? We block them.

Refining Processes
I have finally taken some time to refine my personal Kanban and Zettelkasten processes.

Been working on something.
It's getting closer to something I'm ready to show off.
https://libre.fm has a new link on the homepage to a new website of mine: https://1800www.com and I think it would be neat if you'd check it out.

It's everything about us because everything about us is logged, analyzed, and distributed for cash all across the World Wide Web. Our lives are so deeply embedded into devices that there isn't much the Internet doesn't know about us.
