La propaganda es real: "Adiós Bluesky, hola Wafrn" :3
Una pequeña publicación en mi blog donde simplemente comento mis razones para dejar Bluesky y hago un poco de spam de lo que uso actualmente: Wafrn

Introducing Cornerstone: A WordPress Theme for the IndieWeb
"We believe the world is better when there is not one algorithm deciding what books people should buy, or one algorithm deciding how a website should look. We want the world to mirror our individual idiosyncrasies."
The project got a nice write-up here:

I could use some input from fellow bloggers and slow-roll content creators.
What's the right rate to update my weird indie 35mm scanning photo blog? I am having trouble coming up with a good rhythm.
Here's sort of the problem:
I get the slides at random, as I find them. I currently have a considerable backlog after several successful "hunts"
When I scan the slides in, I tend to do a ton of them all at once. It takes time to set up the scanner and fine tune the input settings to the slide sets I'm working with, so once I've got it in a butter zone I like to bust out a bunch at once. The last big round of scanning, I did a couple hundred slides at one go.

No video ones... I have no space or time to agree on meeting online. Sporadic chats in a single channel work best for me.
I do know #Indieweb started a book club, but so far, the books on list are all non-fiction, not my field 🫡
I am in one using Signal, which is great! And also, one live, which is more than I can afford for live events right now. That is why I want another digital one .
Je commence à enquêter un peu à propos de #indieweb notamment avec #Wordpress
Je cherche des retours d'expérience notamment francophones afin d'estimer si on est là dans une dynamique enrichissante ?
Sometimes I wonder how many people actually go through a webring they find on a website. It would be interesting to see statistics, but I imagine most webrings don't keep data (for one reason or another).
Are webrings more of an "I belong to this community" badge than a discovery tool nowadays?
“Self-knowledge can be generated only through narration. I must narrate myself.”

This essay is a reflection on the book The crisis of narration by Byung-Chul Han, read during the summer of 2025.

Can anyone point me to literature on static websites in open science/open data? I feel like the advantages are obvious and I'm sure I've read bits here and there, but I'm struggling to find a good reference for a grant application...
Hot Take: Backing into parking spaces isn’t just fine, it’s safer.

I recently added a page full of info on incense and incense making to my website for all three of you incense nerds out there, and last month I added a fully styled guestbook courtesy of https://guestbooks.meadow.cafe/ - a great solution for static sites. Benji is back again to host this month's #IndieWeb Movie Club and since it's the 30th anniversary of its release, @benji invites you to watch Hackers (1995). https://www.benji.dog/articles/indieweb-movie-club-october-2025/
I updated my /now/ page for the month:
- Top articles I read and clipped to Obsidian this month
- Movies, shows, and video games, I've been consuming
- Tiny update on Work and Coding
I finally got a new post out. Just some random bits and bobs of what I've been up to last month

Thanks to those mentioned below. Their blogs, their writing, their thoughts, and what they share were not only featured in this week's edition, but they are part of what sustains myself and the IndieWeb in general in darker times. Thanks! 🧡

Definitely not a large collection this time around, and a day later than usual because I got caught up in other things yesterday, but my linkshare post for September is now up. It's officially September's even though it's now October. Hopefully that means there will be two linkshare posts posted in October, given that I usually post them on the last day of the month.
