Would my website and I be more relatable if you knew my first name?
We have the beginnings of a welcome wizard đ ⌠This is shaping up SO well!

New blog post: âEmbedding Bandcamp Tracksâ
https://blog.kizu.dev/embedding-bandcamp-tracks/
A long time ago, back in LiveJournal, sometimes people embedded various music players in their posts. It was fun! I already had a âCurrent musicâ field added to most of my blogâs posts, but now I also added a way to enrich this field by adding an optional Bandcamp track reference, and spent my evening updating existing posts in the blog to have it.
I was just checking out the @bonfire installation guide (which is brilliantly written btw) and suddenly I realised there was something familiar about the layout... and guess what... Bonfire is built with #ElixirLang 𼰠hex docs ftw! https://bonfirenetworks.org/start/

I appreciate that part of the #indieWeb is ârunning awayâ from the corporate controlled web in #GeminiSpace, and there are some very interesting idea being developed around there. There's something to be said about not wanting to share your environment with the poison that a large part of the web has become, but at the same time, there's also something to be said about throwing away the baby with the bathwater. The problem with the web isn't technical, it's social. The tech itself is fine.
#Chrome's deprecation of #XSLT is just the next step in the decade-long efforts by #Google to kill an open, independent web (reminder that I've collected some of that history here <https://wok.oblomov.eu/tecnologia/google-killing-open-web/>). The #WebKit developers at #Apple or the prone #Mozilla developers agreeing on this choice detracts nothing from the argument.
đ§ĄDo you browse fedi and want to get something on your frontend fixed? Perhaps a website redesign, upkeep, maintained? Adding new features?
Are you willing to give me a chance? I promise I'm not a hallucinating AI model and for whatever you decide to pay me will not go towards datacenter maintenance but towards a great user experience for the users of your service/website or page?
My DM's are always open. I'm fully open to working in whatever timezone remotely. You will love my attention to accessibility and user-first UX.

What's going on, Internet?
Looking for some examples of media logs on personal websites? Think a fire hose of all the shows, movies, music watched/listened to in a long ass list with pagination or something. Hit me up.
Ok #Neocities question: my blog apparently has 91k views??? Surely not?! That HAS to be a bug
. Its literally just a blog with rambling about stuff. It was 70k about a couple weeks ago. Where has that extra 20k come from? #indieweb #blog #blogging
I really like personal homepages and have quite a list of them bookmarked. I'll post one every week unless I fall behind this schedule. đ So here's Cool Personal Homepages #CPHP Vol. 51: "XTeddy" https://xteddy.org/

I've added #syndication to my #bookblog đ It uses h-review #microformat, #microformat2 (yeah, I know it will likely be replaced by h-entry soon, but it's good for now).
If you have read any of the books I have and are in the #indieweb movement with a microformatted blog of your own, I'd love some interaction!
My blog is at https://khleedril.org/dale-mellor/bookblog.
Please spread the word to other readers you know in the IndieWeb. Thanks.
ps. There is also an RSS feed on the blog, if that is more use to you.
My report of the first day of last weekendâs IndieWeb Camp in Berlin.

Great #indieweb sessions at #btconf #Berlin!
Yesterday, Sacha Judd (@sachajudd.com) reminded us to âteach someone âŚ. something about building for the webâ, and to âtake back control of your feeds, your attention, and ⌠go exploring againâ. She encouraged us to âbuild healthy online neighborhoodsâ. Thatâs a great metaphor and very complementary to rebuilding your own home(page) on the web with perhaps a digital garden as well!
Today, Ana Rodrigues (@anarodrigu.es @ohhelloana.blog) connected the dots from Sachaâs reminders to encouraging everyone to join burgeoning healthy online neighborhoods like:
* 32-Bit Cafe (@32bit.cafe and see their Discord & Discourse)
* IndieWeb Community (@indieweb.org and see @chat.indieweb.org for Discord, IRC, Slack)
Both are filled with online neighbors helping and teaching each other how to make what people want to express on and for their personal sites!
Know of other healthy online neighborhoods? Let me know and Iâll add them to the IndieWeb communities page!
Want to connect your online home with online neighbors?

The new facelift on my website is now live.
I have added more color to it. Made it more lively. The footer is a less bland looking and I have added my sites Speedlify score.
Another thing I have added it a share section to each post. This is a plugin I have been working on (soon to be live).
Taking a bit of a rest for a bit, but still doing small bits of refactoring here and thereâŚ
One of todayâs new features is full code mirror support in the lovely Milkdown Markdown editor! Looking so much better! Some work needs to be done on theming, but this is really cool!
