#indieweb friends, I found a fun tool today! it's a contact form you can embed or link to from your website and people can email you easily without you listing your email to possibly get spammed
(it's from the pika blog people, too, so you know it's cool)
I wrote a #blog post about my recent experience with getting into 3D printing
There we go, part 2 of my «Google is killing the open web» series, still about the proxy war #Google is running by way of demolishing support for the best tech for indipedent, curated human websites. Yes, this is still aobut #XSLT, but it's more than that.
Less history this time, but more opportunities to talk about control, and a dream about how browsers could have been designed to avoid this takeover.

I write VST audio plugins using C++/JUCE, I'm currently learning Rust, and I love the IndieWeb and FOSS/ethical tech.

I've had a #Gemini capsule - as part of my Tilde Club account - for ages now, and never did anything with it.
It will sit empty no longer! Instead, it'll serve as a home for text-only article copies - ad-free, graphics-free, HTML-free. No cookies, no tracking, and absolutely no "AI".
The first day's worth of articles are live now, accessible in any Gemini browser (or via manual protocol-poking, or a Gemini proxy in a Web browser.)
Its party time because I have got my first domain, I will soon change the whole structure of my forest, I have so many things to share :)
I am using https://grebedoc.dev, thanks @whitequark

I wish there were more simple site generators out there that you could install on your server with an installer or by simply unzipping it to a folder instead of having to go through the whole Github and/or Netlify maze. Such a pain in the butt. It's one of the things I miss about the old web.
Throughout the growth of the Internet and technology, we are unknowingly misled and misinformed for corporate profit.
We should be well-informed for the growth of our humanity.

Back to Usenet. Learn from them. Retrospective.
Plain text, threaded conversations.
Ideas shared freely, no flashy UI â just thoughtful messages.
Author references propagated over network.
Small, readable, decentralized â lessons in simplicity and clarity.

New blog post: âEmbedding Bandcamp Tracksâ
https://blog.kizu.dev/embedding-bandcamp-tracks/
A long time ago, back in LiveJournal, sometimes people embedded various music players in their posts. It was fun! I already had a âCurrent musicâ field added to most of my blogâs posts, but now I also added a way to enrich this field by adding an optional Bandcamp track reference, and spent my evening updating existing posts in the blog to have it.
