So I have my site running on 11ty now. I still have a lot of work to do on content ingestion into feeds - I'll probably end up writing a feed template. I need to fix the conflict between my rss and image-transform plugin setup, and to finish various general template improvements.

I rearranged the ol' #neocities site again. The "digital garden" pages are a mess but that's for another day!

I wrote about the 10 types of websites and how to choose the right platform for each. WordPress covers a wide range of cases, but some projects stay cleaner with a focused tool.

🚀 Oh wow, another groundbreaking discovery: social media is noisy and distracting. 🙄 Enter the #indieweb, because obviously, the solution is to blog like it's 1999! ✍️ Why didn't we think of that before?

what's everyone's favorite #indieweb site?

My 11ty build is almost complete. The final barrier to launch is fixing the rss plugin, which strangely stopped producing feeds while building the site.

Should you ever be looking for information on a weird old plug or socket, or are just interested in such things, the online "Museum of Plugs and Sockets" is one of those sites that makes the Internet seem like less of a terrible mistake than usual.

The page on old British "BS 546" is unmatched, in particular: https://plugsocketmuseum.nl/OldBritish1.html

#IndieWeb Book Club this month is hosted by the estimable @alabut and it’s “The Non-Designer’s Design Book” ~ Read it and write about it! https://alabut.com/writing/bookclub/

I've been working on my personal site for a few months at this point. Mostly rewriting it in different programming languages/frameworks bc I'm indecisive. I made a post a few weeks ago talking about how I had written it in Svelte but was really wanting to write in the vein of the late 90s/early 2000s aesthetic and that made me want to do it with vanilla HTML, CSS, and JS. And Well, I eventually did that. I am now working with a version that doesn't need a static site builder, doesn't need a framework, and just works on Nekoweb, which is where I decided to host it. But hey, it is 2025, I am using modern HTML, CSS, and JS still. I'm making heavy use of Web Components too. Love them or hate them, in this context they are HELLA useful.

I'm going to post the link on here eventually bc I want all my Fedi friends to see what I've made. That may be in a few hours or a few months who knows
