If you're looking for web hosting, and you find a host that claims to have DDOS protection, check if their website is using #cloudflare and if it is, RUN AWAY! It's a huge red flag if they don't trust their own DDOS protection and must use a competitor.

I especially liked this take: ‘Standing up to the “Corporate Web” should not be seen as a battle, but an indirect competition. It is just an alternative.’
Do I agree? Maybe, but I’d like to think about it some more. For now I’ll say the #indieweb can force the CorpoWeb to be better, which would be a win in my book.

Over the years, my personal static site generator has evolved into a rather nice set of functions that I can mix and match easily to implement new features.
For example, today I thought I'd add a backlinks page to my website and it took only 15 minutes or so to write a new function that generates the backlinks page merely by invoking a few existing functions.
