        "html": "<p>And now it\u2019s time for my traditional annual wrap-up post, and my hopes for next year.</p>\n\n\n<h3><a href=\"http://beesbuzz.biz/blog/7591-2025-%F0%9F%94%9C-2026#7591_h3_1_2025-checkup\"></a>2025 checkup</h3><p>How did I do with my <a href=\"http://beesbuzz.biz/blog/11031-2024-%E2%86%92-2025\">stated aspirations for this year</a>?</p>\n<ul><li>Music\n\n<ul><li>I indeed did <a href=\"https://sockpuppet.band/album/strawberry-jelly-9\">a bunch of music for Strawberry Jam 9</a>, and got a job as a result of it, so the \u201cpaid soundtrack work\u201d point happened! Yay!</li>\n<li>I made no progress at all on Recombinant and Maximum Coverage</li>\n<li>I made a little progress on Misfits</li>\n<li>Also not mentioned but I have an idea for a jazz album which I also haven\u2019t done anything on</li>\n</ul></li>\n<li>Home\n\n<ul><li>I made <em>some</em> progress on the workshop area (by replacing the old janky workbenches with new, decent ones with actual storage space) but it\u2019s overall worse off than before</li>\n<li>Tool cabinet is a nightmare, and I still don\u2019t have a garden shed or greenshouse</li>\n<li>I did improve the organization in my living room</li>\n<li>I made no progress on my office</li>\n<li>And I did not get rid of the clutter</li>\n</ul></li>\n<li>Arts and Crafts\n\n<ul><li>No progress on pottery</li>\n<li>I did sell some stuff on Etsy but I eventually shut down that shop because it was frustrating to maintain for how little traffic I got on it; I set up a shop on Artisans Coop but I haven\u2019t done much with it yet</li>\n<li>I did not do any comics</li>\n<li>I did not do any VRChat avatars aside from making some edits to <a href=\"https://fluffy.itch.io/critter-avatar\">the critter</a></li>\n<li>I don\u2019t even remember what the other art projects were, but I didn\u2019t do any of them, whatever they are</li>\n</ul></li>\n<li>Programming\n\n<ul><li>Publ is still running on PonyORM and Misaka :(</li>\n<li>The Bandcrash UI is still a major pain point</li>\n<li>Bluesky OAuth is still not at a point where it\u2019d work well with Publ/Authl (the problem is on Bluesky\u2019s end)</li>\n<li>And I\u2019m still using Webmention+Isso and have done no work on fixing that either</li>\n</ul></li>\n<li>Health\n\n<ul><li>Vertigo\u2019s better and <em>mostly</em> under control, but over the course of 2025 I came to realize it was more a fatigue issue than a vertigo issue that keeps me from driving</li>\n<li>And I still don\u2019t feel comfortable driving, although I replaced my piece of shit modern EV with a perfect beautiful 2008 Toyota shitbox</li>\n<li>Pain management still eludes me; my least-bad option is still just getting high and turning into a lump on the couch (which I\u2019m not doing as often, at least). I also tried a few psilocybin-based approaches, none of which turned out to be helpful</li>\n<li>I do think I\u2019ve gotten better at, as I put it, \u201cacknowledging when things have gone well in the moment, being better at controlling the things I\u2019m able to, and more accepting about the things I can\u2019t,\u201d but I still have a long ways to go (but it\u2019s a process and a journey, not an endpoint)</li>\n</ul></li>\n</ul><h3><a href=\"http://beesbuzz.biz/blog/7591-2025-%F0%9F%94%9C-2026#7591_h3_2_Productivity-stats-wins\"></a>Productivity(?) stats/wins</h3><p>Here\u2019s some random highlights for consideration:</p>\n<ul><li>This website:\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"http://beesbuzz.biz/everything?date=2025\">Over 120 new posts</a>, of which most were blog posts but there were a few non-bloggy things, and a bunch of the blog posts could have probably been articles anyway</li>\n</ul></li>\n<li><a href=\"https://sockpuppet.band/\">Music</a>:\n\n<ul><li>2 <a href=\"https://sockpuppet.band/releases/\">releases</a> (<a href=\"https://sockpuppet.band/track/the-war-machine\">The War Machine</a> and <a href=\"https://sockpuppet.band/album/strawberry-jelly-9\">strawberry jelly :9</a>)</li>\n<li>37 <a href=\"https://sockpuppet.band/blog/\">blog posts</a></li>\n<li>33 <a href=\"https://sockpuppet.band/live/\">scheduled live shows</a> (as well as several shows/performances that weren\u2019t on the schedule for various reasons)</li>\n<li>11 <a href=\"https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNRLpYEdwBNgZMOTh0QcFehYyeWpa6QD1\">Novembeat tracks</a></li>\n<li>Revamped the way I tagged my releases and fully tagged 89% of the entries with genres, instruments, and moods</li>\n<li>Finally put a <a href=\"https://sockpuppet.band/releases/?tag=collection:CD\">bunch of my music on CD</a> again</li>\n<li>Got <a href=\"https://sockpuppet.band/releases/?tag=collection:vinyl\">some of my music on vinyl</a>(!!)</li>\n<li>Removed all of Sockpuppet\u2019s music (except <a href=\"https://sockpuppet.band/track/the-war-machine\">the anti-streaming song</a>) from streaming; maybe it\u2019ll come back someday but I just don\u2019t want to deal with it</li>\n<li>Revamped the <a href=\"https://youtube.com/@realfakesockpuppet\">YouTube channel</a> and got a bunch more subscribers and watch time as a result</li>\n<li>Wrote some more music for <a href=\"https://transacademy.org/\">Trans Academy</a> (not all of it has made it to the public yet but that which has is on my <a href=\"https://sockpuppet.band/clients/1270-Trans-Academy\">client portfolio page</a>)</li>\n<li>Got hired to work on a game (and have made a bunch of music for it)</li>\n<li>Three <a href=\"https://www.songfight.org/artistpage.php?key=sockpuppet\">Song Fight!
