Am I just paranoid or are /uses slashpages terrible opsec? #indieweb #slashpages #opsec

I’ve recently added a bookmark to https://indieblog.page /random in my browser (desktop and mobile), and it’s such a delight. Highly recommended. It really feels like surfing the web back in the day; I’ve stumbled on so many interesting blogs. And as an incredible bonus: time spent browsing these sites is time not spent doomscrolling.

Huge shout out to @splitbrain for maintaining this service and its Fediverse extension @indieblog!

The Case for Blogging in the Ruins

>The format accommodates the actual texture of thinking, which is messy and recursive and full of wrong turns.

This is what I want from my cyber-life. My #IndieWeb site has hit an ISP-related roadblock that I hope to resolve soon. I love Mastodon, but I need more space to spread my thoughts out, and a longer, more organized shelf life on those thoughts.

putting the finishing touches on version 2.5 of incorporeal bard blog today :) I'm really proud of it!! it feels like a solid iteration on the theme, with lots of little markup/css/layout improvements throughout. plus a little treat if you scroll all the way to the bottom...

Back From Hiatus

I am back from my holiday hiatus and plan to start writing again; however, I have made some changes to the site as well.

To further celebrate #2026, the almanac section of my site got spruced up - lots of interesting events that revolve around #fandom, #maker, the #paranormal, #libraries, and #witch stuff (including space and astronomy) to note for 2026.

Would love to hear about some of yours to add too! What are you putting down for special things happening this year? Cheers!

Happy New Year! 🥂

I’ve only drafted a few posts since my last update ten days ago, but I’ve still put a lot of work into my blog.

I added a resize button you can maximize the content window with.

I also wrote a custom #pelican plugin so I can use callouts like in #Obsidian markdown. (I already used it in my last post to create a content warning.)

With the days being mostly dull and dark, I wanted to make reading my blog less eye-straining. So, I added a dark mode toggle and a dark theme based on a cherry cola palette. (I love cherry coke! 😋)

To keep my blog static while still allowing comments, I’ve added a backlink on each article’s statusbar to the toot I shared about them. You can comment and like there.

Hi Frens I'm looking for where I can find a massive array of clip art like this?

Indie Web Carnival posted their December 2025 round-up of user submitted responses to the prompt, "where you see the #IndieWeb in 2030".

Some really cool posts to check out. I think some are more technical than others.

Just in time for the IndieWeb Hackathon, you can now install Omnibear from the Firefox Add-on store! It’s also available for Edge and we’re working on Chrome. Please try it out if your site supports Micropub and consider contributing!

Having a blog of my own on the #indieweb was first in my bucket list for a long time.

A few weeks ago, I discovered omg.lol and realised that was exactly what I was looking for: an easy and painless door to the my little piece of the internet.

Today, 1st January, and I took the step and created my address: yvan.omg.lol. It is a WIP, but I am really looking forward to creating and posting some stuff 😄

Thanks @adam for making it so easy!

Let's start this new year with a new blog post. This time about my journey into Emacs as my main PKM tool.

Looking for something interesting to read today? Here’s a round up of all the entries from last month’s #IndieWebCarnival reflecting on where the #IndieWeb will be – or where we all want it to be – by 2030.

Finished my December Adventure with an unfinished project, as is tradition. I'm in the process of extracting a standalone IndieAuth client atop the OAuth2 crate. Full adventure log:
